Synopsis

Having come to accept her dragon self, Ruri keeps stacking up her calm, ordinary days. Her bonds with friends grow even stronger, and time spent with Maeda and Yuka becomes irreplaceable. In the midst of it, Ruri draws closer to the existence of her dragon father. Her roots, and the feelings her mother has carried alone, a story of family quietly begins to move. What lingers in this fifth volume is the sight of Ruri no longer just tossed around by her special traits, but turning them into strength of her own. Growth and resolve softly glow within her gentle, warm everyday life as her world expands another big step.

Ruri has finally grown used to handling her dragon traits, coming to affirm her powers not as a nuisance but as part of who she is. At the story's center sits a new development about her long-absent dragon father, and she gradually touches the heart of the past her mother never spoke of and why he vanished. Neither fearing nor idolizing him, Ruri comes to simply, honestly wish to meet him. Her friends push her forward, and she steels her resolve to face her family and her roots. Having fully accepted her own specialness, Ruri prepares to take her next step in a volume that marks a milestone in her growth.
