Ruri's dragon traits move further toward stability, and she gains a little breathing room in handling her powers. Her friendships with Maeda, Yuka and the others deepen, and rather than hiding her special self she builds relationships where she can simply be accepted as she is. Through talks with her mother, hints about her dragon father, what kind of person he is and why he vanished, are gradually revealed, and Ruri deepens her understanding of her roots. Piling up small clashes and realizations in daily life, she steadily grows. This volume sees Ruri quietly affirming her own way of being: ordinary yet special, special yet ordinary.
