Synopsis

Ruri and Maeda are picked as organizing committee members for the school sports festival. At first the two barely click, but as the preparations go on they gradually open up, until Ruri ends up saddled with the role of committee chair. Thrust back into the spotlight in an unfamiliar setting, she faces new responsibilities and new relationships. And just then, her body shows signs of change once more. Dragon growth and the wavering heart of adolescence overlap as Ruri's everyday life shifts in a big way, in a warm third volume about widening friendships and finding herself.

As sports-festival committee members, Ruri and Maeda start off awkward but grow close enough to speak honestly as they work together. After some back-and-forth, Ruri takes on the chair role and pushes herself to overcome her dread of standing before others. In the midst of it, signs of a new dragon trait emerge, scales surfacing on her skin and her condition growing unstable, growing pains of a draconic kind. Supported by her mother and friends, Ruri quietly accepts the self that keeps changing as a dragon. A fresh friendship with Maeda takes root, and Ruri's world expands another step.
