Synopsis

Inheriting the will of his fallen allies, Kenshin rises against Shishio once more. Even the Amakakeru Ryu no Hirameki fails to land a finishing blow, and the duel pushes past every limit. But at last the fifteen-minute mark arrives, and Shishio's burned-out body is consumed by its own flames and collapses. The demon self-destructs at the very moment of decision. His ambition to burn Kyoto is crushed, and the battered survivors endure. The long Kyoto arc finally comes to a close, and Kenshin sets out on the road home to Tokyo.
