Synopsis

To reclaim Sayo, who has been carried off by a Basara, Rokuro, Benio, Shimon, and Mayura join forces and storm the enemy's ground. Through fierce teamwork they manage to rescue her, but the relief is fleeting: as Mayura flees carrying Sayo, another Basara blocks her path. Just as Mayura is cornered with nowhere to run, help arrives in the form of Shimon and the others, who refuse to yield an inch against the mighty Basara. Comrades throw themselves down as shields at the risk of their lives, and Mayura and Sayo barely escape the crisis. Yet the Basara's overwhelming strength leaves deep wounds on the whole group, and Rokuro is once again forced to confront his own immaturity. The threat of Tsuchimikado Island and the Basara's true aims slowly come to light, drawing the story toward its core. A weighty volume where sacrifice and growth intertwine.
