Synopsis

Sayo pierced by Seiman, Shimon robbed of any way to save his sister, Mayura worn down and out of options — and Rokuro too lies gravely wounded, unable even to rise. Yet in the fading depths of his consciousness, someone quietly speaks to him. Guided by that voice, Rokuro achieves a full resurrection and, staking his very destiny, charges at Seiman alongside Benio. As their spiritual powers are honed to their limit, something ominous begins to stir within Benio after surviving the deadly battle. The bond of the Twin Stars faces its greatest trial in this turbulent ninth volume.

The one who spoke to Rokuro in his mind was Seimei, and armed with that power Rokuro rises again and crushes Seiman. His teamwork with Benio draws out the true might of the Twin Stars, bringing the deadly clash with the Basara to a decisive end. But the cost of the fierce battle is heavy: an unsettling change, almost like a runaway of spiritual power, begins to surface within Benio's body. Behind the joy of victory, fresh dread takes root, casting a dark shadow over their relationship and Benio's fate. This volume closes out the upheaval of the Tsuchimikado Island arc and hints at the storm to come.
