Synopsis
East–West war tears Henry and Martha apart before either can speak their hearts. Martha survives the front, is saved in the West, and still crawls home toward the East through mud and checkpoints. Volume 15 drives a wedge of true wartime family into the gaps of the Forgers’ fake-home smiles.

Young Henry and Martha fall for each other in the afterglow of school days—then borders and uniforms cut between them. Confession dies under artillery; Martha is shoved into military nursing lines, Henry into the helplessness of the left-behind. On the front friends shatter, mud and blood paint every uniform the same color, and Western hands once pull Martha back from death. Her feet still point East: return, meet, speak—that single order moves her body. Prisoner columns, wounded trains, and border checks snap her route again and again. In the present, Loid’s mission and Yor’s kill-aura prop up the household as usual; Anya reads Damian’s orbit and rolls her “operations,” but the reader’s eye is dragged hard into Henry Henderson’s past. War can end; the unsaid sentence does not return. Volume 15 proves—in the mud on Martha’s soles—that the peace the Forgers defend was once stolen from someone else.
