Synopsis

The glittering Gourmet Age comes to an end. The Human World plunges into a severe food crisis, and both the IGO and the Gourmet Corp., long locked in rivalry, suffer heavy damage before the sudden rise of a new power: NEO. What is the "true enemy" that Ichiryu named with his final words? What becomes of Komatsu, captured by the Gourmet Corp., and of Toriko, torn from his companions? Ichiryu sacrifices himself to hold back NEO's threat, and his death reveals that the "true enemy" is NEO itself, eating away at Acacia's body. The long rivalry between the IGO and the Gourmet Corp. effectively turns to a truce before a far greater calamity. Though separated from his friends and Komatsu, Toriko renews his resolve to reach the Gourmet World. This volume ends the Human World arc and steers the story toward the hunt for Acacia's Full Course and adventure in the unknown Gourmet World.
