Synopsis

After grueling training, Toriko and Komatsu return from the Gourmet World to the Human World. But in their absence, the Human World has fallen into a severe food shortage, leaving people starving. To save them, Toriko and his friends begin searching for the Full Course menu left behind by the late Ichiryu. Following the clues, their journey finally leads them to the egg of a legendary phantom bird. Yet claiming it is no easy feat, and new trials await. The series' second chapter, the vast and perilous Gourmet World arc, begins in earnest.

The Human World's food shortage is hinted to stem from NEO's influence, with Acacia's ingredients dominating the world's food supply. Toriko deepens his reunion and teamwork with the Four Heavenly Kings and steels himself to step onto the vastly greater stage of the Gourmet World. This volume showcases the reborn Toriko's power after training and marks a solid first step toward the grand finale of completing the Full Course and confronting Acacia.
