Synopsis

Toriko and his companions have finally set sail into the uncharted Gourmet World. While battling across seas of thorn-waves sharp enough to pierce wild beasts, Toriko glimpses a strange frog among the waves. The party lands on fog-shrouded Utou Island, only to find it laced with terrifying traps built to reject any intruder. At the very threshold of a realm teeming with superhuman ingredients and lethal dangers, the Four Heavenly Kings' teamwork and resolve are pushed to their limits in this opening chapter of a brand-new adventure.

Utou Island's biological density is on another level, and the moment Toriko's group lands they are swallowed by a monstrous ecosystem of impossibly high capture levels. The frog was merely a warning sign; the whole island functions as one giant predatory organism. Before securing any ingredient, Toriko is forced simply to survive, learning that Human World logic means nothing here. Komatsu's nose and chef's instincts become the key that decides the party's fate, setting up the coming struggle over the Gourmet God, Air.
