Synopsis

With relief supplies secured, Mutta and the others on the Moon gain a moment's respite. But the crisis has not yet passed. Meanwhile, on Earth, preparations advance steadily for the Sharon Observatory's landmark "first light", the moment it first captures the light of the cosmos. And to save the comrades stranded on the Moon, a rescue mission at last swings into full motion. As the Maxim 4 crew readies for their lunar trip, Hibito, with his second flight to the Moon looming, must face the memory of that fateful day. An exhilarating volume where several story threads converge toward the brothers' reunion.

The relief supplies keep Mutta and the others hanging on by a thread, and the story turns decisively toward "rescue". At its core is Hibito, taking on a second flight to the Moon. Even while carrying the trauma of the past accident, he steels his resolve to overcome his fear and aim for the Moon again, driven by the solid reason of saving his brother. On Earth, the Sharon Observatory's "first light" preparations quietly illuminate the meaning of the work Mutta has protected. Scattered threads begin converging on the single point of the brothers' reunion, pushing anticipation for the next volume's climax to its peak.
