Vinland Saga Vol. 28 Raw Spoilers

Volume 28 is the first real season of Vinland. Thorfinn and Gudrid dig in at Arnheid Village under a hard rule—no weapons—planting grain, raising houses, and trying to make a place where children can grow without learning slaughter. Then the Lnu appear. Thorfinn reaches for trade and talk; Ivar smuggles a sword and mutters that protection still needs steel. Hild, Einar, and the others balance between ideal and habit. The Lnu also weigh these pale strangers who arrived from the sea. The volume’s tension is not a pitched battle but the first temperature of meeting: smiles next to suspicion, gifts next to the shadow of a blade. Peace is tested from both inside the village and beyond its fields. The land Thorfinn bought with the death of the warrior ideal is already under exam—before open war, before plague, when a single bad choice can still be avoided or made irreversible.
