Vinland Saga Vol. 29 Raw Spoilers

Volume 29 rips the peace-country dream with an enemy you cannot fence out: disease. Cough and death crawl through Arnheid Village’s fields and huts. Nords blame contact with the Lnu; the Lnu call it a curse brought from across the sea. Both sides arm themselves to protect “their” peace, and Vinland learns the magic word of slaughter—“we have no choice.” Thorfinn stands before the Lnu chief and offers a path that includes withdrawing the village; for a breath, it seems accepted. Then hardliners seize the crisis, talks break, and war finally ignites. Arrows and flame hit Arnheid. Halfdan’s shadows, Ivar’s steel, Hild’s justice, Einar’s grief, Gudrid’s home—each conviction collides on the same dirt. Thorfinn’s refusal to fight is dragged back under judgment: weakness, or the only strength left. The promised land tastes blood. This volume does not soften the moment when founding a nation means watching the dream get dirty.
