Synopsis

To revive the Oniwabanshu, Aoshi allies with Kanryu and challenges Kenshin to a duel to the death. Carrying the pride of his fallen subordinates, he vows to seize the title of strongest from Battosai, and Kenshin answers with his reverse-blade sword. After a fierce clash, Kenshin defeats Aoshi but spares his life, telling him his strength is already proven by his comrades. The beaten Aoshi sinks into the darkness of vengeance, yet Kenshin's words lodge deep, planting the seed of his later redemption.
