Synopsis
A man from Kenshin's past appears: Hajime Saito, former captain of the Shinsengumi, now a spy for the Meiji police. He has come to test whether Kenshin can still fight as the legendary manslayer. After a brutal clash of his Gatotsu against Kenshin's sword arts, Kenshin receives a grave request from Home Minister Toshimichi Okubo: assassinate Makoto Shishio, the man who inherited the mantle of the hitokiri Battosai. A monster thought buried in the shadows of the revolution is sharpening his fangs in Kyoto. Kenshin sets out once more as a wanderer, toward his greatest battle.
